KENTON ON SEA is situated in the heart of the sunshine coast in the Eastern Cape Region of South Africa. The area has some of the most attractive beaches and coastline in South Africa and is in close proximity of game parks containing the big five. The area is malaria free and the sea has an abundance of sea life, whales and dolphins can often be seen from the shore.There are plenty of rock pools and sheltered bays to explore, with swimming and fishing available for the more energetic.
The Kariega and Bushmans Rivers are both navigable and offer water sports, fishing and bird watching. Both rivers have launching facilities and there is a small marina in the Bushmans River where boats may be moored.
The largest residential and business centre is in the village of Kenton On Sea. .A full range of services are available including a supermarket, bottle store, medical care, pharmacy, restaurants, banks and a post office. The area has a laid back country feel and is the ideal place to get a way from the stresses of modern life and to recharge your batteries. The village of Kenton On Sea is situated on the coastline between the Kariega and Busmans Rivers. Merry Hill is a suburb of Kenton On Sea, a short distance from the coast and has access to the Bushmans River via a marina. Many of the properties have excellent views of the river and river mouth. On the west bank of the Bushmans River is the village of Bushmans River Mouth. Access to the river is made easy by means of a municipal launching site and there is easy access to the beach, including fishing and beach walks. The suburb of Rivers Bend is a short distance up river and many of the homes have stunning views of the river.
Eight kilometers further up the coastline are the peaceful villages of Bokness and Cannon Rocks. Both have terrific beaches and the main activities are walking, fishing, swimming or just relaxing.
Kasouga is a small residential area on the coast some ten kilometers east of Kenton On Sea. This area is ideal for those who want to have peace and tranquility and enjoy the beach.
A number of properties are situated just inland of Kenton On Sea of which many have views of and access to the river. There are also a number of new areas being developed for residential use.
